Sorry readers I m writing the review of DFX5969 DVD player. I bought this DVD player with Samsung LDC Tv.1 week ago and I have mixed reactions with the Onida DVD Player I bought. The First piece they given me was faulty but they replace with a another one with in the next day itself.
Actual review.
My first impression of this product was it look like cheap chinese scrap.And I turn on the set connected my 5.1 Creative Home theater with the DVD Player and Video into my LCD and put one Hindi VCD and I first disappointed with quality of the video and the Sound .Actualy problem was not with the player .it was because of the crapy 5.1 theater system and the VCD am playing.Then inserted Hollywood moview-"Saving private ryan" Original DVD with anoromic view and Dolby digital Sound.I was amazed with the quality of picture its giving. But sound out put was not upto the mark because of the 5.1 Creative crap.
Feature
this one is having the USB Play back and 5.1 analog out and kadak image viewer and Dolby digital and DTS encoder but when I tried to switch into DTS Sound in one Hollywood movie Sound gone and there was no sound out then I changed the Sound set up into Dolby digital and it was working perfectly not sure whether its player problem or the problem with the DVD I played.Picture clarrity is good with this player iam getting mirror like image in my LDC with this player.Its playing all type of CD's but I am irritated with this sound set up of this DVD player and its on screen display of menus its not user friendly at all.Equaliser set up is not good at all .Only gettiing nice sound when I changed the equaliser to ROck . PRologic 2 set up is there.This can be used when your source Cd is not having any 5.1 channel recording and it will give you 5.1 channel experience but don't expect too much difference.
Concerns
Not a user firendly on screen display and sound set up in the Player is not good.
Final verdict.
I paid only Rs2500 and its giving a value for money experience and am happy with this product.if you want a affordable player with affordable price then don't think twice go for this.
