As of March 2004, this AMAZINGLY EASY AND SUPER LOW COST company has handled nearly all of my long distance calls for 1 1/2 years. Onesuite is a pay as you go service with zero extra fees. You simply create your personal account on their website, put a small amount of money in it and sit back in disbelief at how long it lasts! You can log in to your account anytime and easily review what each call cost you. You can't get that anywhere else I know of, and NOTHING SHOWS UP ON YOUR PHONE BILL-EVER, unlike 10-10-987 or 10-10-220 and the like. 10-10-987 has a 39 cent connection fee for all domestic calls, and charges a USF fee.
Onesuite.com actually PAYS THESE FEES FOR YOU out of their operating expenses and does not pass them on--you pay only the straight per-minute charge and that's it. There is one minor exception--a 55 cent per call charge from payphones--no big deal! Otherwise, there are NO MONTHLY FEES OR PER CALL CHARGES. It's $.025/min using a local access number and $.029 with the 800 number. Cheap international rates too.
You can list up to 3 of your residential or business telephone lines for ''Zipdial'', which lets you dial a local access number and make a call without putting in a pin number--HUGE TIME SAVER! The Onesuite system caller id's your line--so there are no security issues. This company really has its act together. Bills with my old long distance company (with the high fees and taxes) were in the $25-$35 range. In over a year and a half I have averaged about $8-$11 per month with onesuite.
The local access number also works great with newer fax machines. Just put in the local access number, then 3 pauses, and the long distance fax you are trying to reach. I have had no busy signals on the onesuite 800 number and only a few on the local access number. If one is busy I just use the other. This is a trivial inconvenience for this great service. NOTE: YOU CAN ALSO USE ONESUITE.COM TO MAKE ''LOCAL TOLL'' CALLS to nearby cities that are too far to dial locally but not far enough for long distance. The local toll charges show up on your local phone bill--you might want to review that part of your bill! I used to pay 11 cents+ a minute for local toll calls--NO MORE!
