OnePlus One: An iPhone Killer Phone
So you are here because either you want to just inquire or want to purchase the phone. Now with every morning, market is flooded with a new mobile. This is good enough to confuse anyone. What if a person want to purchase a phone up to 20K. There are some known companies like Samsung, LG, Sony, Nokia, HTC etc. and then there are new players like Xiaomi, OnePlus etc. and then there are domestic or other brands like Micromax, Karbon, iBall, Xolo etc. Now the question is which one to select as all looks very attractive.
But looking closely to the offerings in this range, every product in the queue suffers from one or other problem. It might be the specs or battery or RAM or in-built space availability. I will not talk about other products but OnePlus One.
Why should you buy
OnePlus One is the best optimized and value for the money phone. I am using it now for more than 4 months and my feeling is that it is a wonderful device to have. Earlier I had Samsung Note II but I was disappointed and annoyed by the the phone because of only one reason. When I switch on wifi or mobile data, phone almost hangs for few seconds/minutes and then it responds back. Apps were crashing quite often on Note II. But I always thought that it is high end device so this might be the problem with Android or software. But when I purchased OnePlus One then I realized that it was not true. Things runs as fast as it can without even giving you impression of slowness. Everything is running fast, no slowness noticed so far. Applications rarely crash on this device.

What I like about OPO
Every thing runs so fast that it eliminates the slowness which annoyed me quite often earlier. Screen is almost similar to Note II and quite bright enough to impress any one peeping into your phone. The design is something which separates this phone from others. Cleverly designed with curves, microphones are hidden at most places. There are two speakers at the bottom curved edge which gives stereo effect. Speakers are loud enough to listen music and watch videos. Pictures taken were good on this device.
The other noticeable feature is its CyanogenMod OS, which is based on Android but with additional features specially gestures. Tech savvy will love this phone as it comes already rooted and opens possibility to experiment with.
What I dislike
The phone gets heated up easily with long usage, specially if you play games. You can use back cover to avoid that from directly feeling it. But on the other side, which device is not having this problem. As the devices are getting slimmer, heating problem is surfacing with all brands. This is no different.
I still feel the battery was good before I upgraded to CM 12, it was giving me around 1.5 to 2 days backup with average to a bit high use. But after upgrade it is hardly limited to a day.
My verdict
No other phone currently matches the specs and the price it offers with 3 GB and 64 GB in-built space with such processor and 4K video capability, this is a wonderful device. Now with the price drop, you can simply go and buy this beast and enjoy the high speed and reliable device.
