Natwar Singh is almost a dead and forgotten name in the Indian political circle. And he has joined the league of bureaucrats/turncoats who are bashing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress after the change in regime.
The autobiography of Natwar Singh is dull, soporific and meaninglessly boring. Singh may have had an illustrious career, but his delivery of the experiences is extremely boring. I had actually skipped chapters and had given up hope of reading the whole novel, but I went on.
The chapter on Sonia Gandhi and UPA Govt is undoubtedly "TRP driven" and the last chapter on Volcker controversy a weak attempt at exonerating himself.
Overall, had there not been a change in regime, the book would not have made the headlines, it is making now.
