I have read One Indian Girl. From literary point of view the book is not impressive at all. There is hardly any character development. No narration. It is less of novel and more a bollywood script.

But yes Chetan has managed to put forward his viewpoint on feminism. Feminism is a very subjective term but mainly it means that something which boys can do why can’t girls allow to do so.

Chetan concentrated on issue related to working women who have to choose between career and home after becoming mother. Why flying and nesting can’t go hand in hand. Men don’t give up work after becoming father so why women have to choose.

Chetan has managed to raise this point very well. Only for this reason one can read the book otherwise wait when it is adapted into movie.
