Sultanate of oman is one place in Gulf which was not effected by Babari masjid crises nor any tensions prevail when communal riots take place.
The country is well managed and nicely run under the able and wise Guidance of His majesty Sultan Qaboos and his team of Ministers.
Oman has lot to offer to the world mainly being a warm and friendly place and the local people, called as Omanis, are very helpful and supportive. The place offers unpolluted beaches, desert, mountains etc.
Recently two hindi movies held their shooting starring Sunil Shetty, Akshay Kumar, preeti Zinta etc. I think this place has lot to offer to tourist and people who needs peace and just the time for themself.
This place offers best of both, the west and east, world culture. This place has old historical culture and tradition. Many graded hotels are here as well as budget hotels too. Travel is mainly throught rent-a-car and best time to visit is October to March. April to August are hot but if you wanna get sun-tanned try this time.
It is ideal for middle aged couples who can relax and have plenty of time for themself.
i recommend all couples between 35-45 to visit oman for 6/7 days and 3/4 days dubai. this could be ideal holiday destination.
