Man, did I regret seeing this flick. Why, Farah Why? You made your overrated Main Hoon Na look like a classic in front of this junk. SRK is seriously get old, and repetitive with his over-the-top overacting. With this film, it proves that Dilip Kumar, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are far better actors than him. SRK completely sucks in comedy, and with this film, it proves it
PROS
Good first half. Songs are excellent, except for Dard-E-Disco, every other song is excellent Akshay Kumar, Akshay Kumar, Akshay Kumar. His two minute appearance actually stole the show. Deewangi Deewangi song. Seeing all the great superstars over the years are great. Here in Toronto, Salman Khan and Kajol got the most cheers from the audience. Arjun Ramphal from the cast actually did good and also SRK friend in the film
CONS
Dard-E-Disco. Oh man, this song was a torture to watch. Man, SRK is 42 years old, it doesn’t suit him one bit, especially him the construction ware. He is not like Salman Khan who had his body from the Maine Pyar Kiya, and where you are used to see him like that. SRK gaining abs for this movie is a complete no-no. Well it may have pleased two people, Taran Adrash and Karan Johar SRK over-the-top acting. He was good the first half, but the second half, it proves SRK sucks in comedy, and he can’t do action OK? WTF? (People who saw the film will understand that). Man, if people of India consider this cool, then we have it the Armageddon stage. Second-half. After a great second half, the second half is pure stupidness and ruins the film completely. Second half is like a Karz 2. Only difference is Karz was far more better Deepika. She had a great first half, but was completely wasted in the second half. (Since Sonam wasn’t that great also in Saawariya, it’s a fight for the Best Debutant Actress award) The climax was simply horrible. Did SRK get the girl in the end? Did they like each other? She was reborn back, but doesn’t recall anything about the past life? Is that the purpose of the film?
Well, as you can see, the negative outweighs the positive, which does prove that Om Shanti Om is a disappointment. But as always for Indian audience, they will support this kind of flick anyday, which makes me sad as an Indian! With this film it proves one thing:
The Filmfare Awards shows the reality. It shows you that other people deserve the award, and yet SRK can give an average performance and yet win the award Indian audience supports horrible flicks like this. Like Dhoom 2, which became a huge grosser at the BO, OSO is prepared to be a huge grosser Indian audience needs to open up more. They need to watch more flicks that are not mass appeal. With mass appeal like this, you can ensure it will a huge opening. SRK sucks, no matter what.
