Well Well Well! Om Shanti Om is one of the finest movies of this year. I was awaiting the release of this movie after the much publicized media war between sawaria and oso.
I haven't seen sawari but oso is sure a winner. Its amazing how Shahrukh and Farah could attempt something like OSO. it could have easily gone haywire , they could have easily lost it or made fools of themselves with such kind of story. but I think Farah and Shahrukh have defied all logics and the result is only A+
*The story goes like this ITs in the 70s when SRK or Om Makhija is a struggling junior artist. Pappu played by Shreyash is his adorable friend. Om is in love with the beautiful rising star Shantipriya(Deepika Padukone) who is secretly married to Mukesh the dashing producer played by Arjun Rampal.
Arjun Rampal is a gold digger who would do anything it takes to strike it big and his opportunity comes in face of this marriage to the daughter of a rich financier. but since he is married to upcoming actress deepika who is also pregnant. he murders Deepika in a gruesome manner by burning down the studio and with it also Shahrukh who was is a secret admirer of Deepika.

Then comes 2007 when Shahrukh is reborn as the great star om Kumar or OK. he is not only a superstar but also wins the film fare awards. the scene where he wins the film fare award is amazing and thanks to Abhishek and Akshay Kumar who play themselves
Shahrukh remembers his last life and decides to do justice to his Dead Love Deepika by bringing Arjun Rampal to justice in typical filmy manner which he does. in a climax that leaves you spellbound.
OMO is an incredible attempt by the film makers, to make a film within a Film is not an easy job. the story is so well told and nicely knit that the viewers are glued to it. The first part of movie The 70"s are executed so well, full marks to costume designers Manish Malhotra and Karan Johar for the splendid outfits of Deepika and all the other characters.
The set designers I don't know what they are called have also done a commendable job they have made an entire set of Metro Cinema Bombay of 70's
Choreography= whoever has choreographed the title song Om Shanti OM has to be applauded he has done a brilliant job. All the Legends Dharmendra, Mithun and huge list of super stars come one by one. Karishma was a surprise
Music= This is one of the best works of Vishal and Shekhar. only superlatives
Cast= Srk is good as always, Deepika is a fresh breath of air and gives a decent debut Shreyas Talpade has done a decent job as Sharukhs modest friend. Kiron Kher who plays SRKs mother is amazing as ever but surprise package was Arjun Rampal who has managed to give his best performance till date as the Villain.
And Finally like cricket if I were to announce the man of the match it will go to Farah Khan. She was just outstanding I wont be surprised if she wins the next best director award. SRK and Farah deserve this success
overall a great cinema, full paisa vasul its a film for all generation and all seasons/ bright up your diwali by Om Shanti OM
