I bought the Olympus camedia c160 3 months back and I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone interested in buying an entry level digital camera that can give you great pictures.
I had planned to buy the Kodak easyshare cx7300 which is the same in megapixel specification but about to Rs.2500 cheaper. But after I saw the perfomance of the c160 as compared to that of the cx7300 I was completely blown away..
I would recommend this camera because
3.2 Megapixels is quite good and the prints are sharp
Easiest user interface I have ever seen in such a feature rich product.
The self portrait feature clicks ur own pictures better than having another person do it for you.
The night vision mode is the best in its class..
Macro mode gives you vivid close ups.
Extremely rich and well saturated pictures.
Panorama actually works..( maybe a first in entry level )
Reasonable battery life, with ordinary 700mAh rechargeables with flash.
4 picture modes. super high, high, standard and low.
I did not find the following interesting though
Low memory of 16 mb bundled along with it.
Low quality picutres are quite low on quality.. but if u smooth the picture with photoshop or something the pictures look great.
Night vision keeps the lens open for 1.3 seconds!!! so you need a tripod for that mode.
Movie not exactly great. But a great buy for the price!!
Digital zoom is not very useful, but then it is the fault of the technology, not the cam.
