Android users to cross half billion mark by 2015. Review on Old shifting

According to figures released by Juniper Research on Tuesday, Mobile banking services worldwide will be generating 90 billion text messages per annum by 2015, up from 30 billion this year.

Android usage is rising like anything.Although Symbian currently leads the market, Android will become the  most popular brand in the mobile OS market and is expected to attract  more than half a billion users by 2015, .

Nokia  announced an Ovi Store makeover in late March, promising consumers more  efficient access from their desktop or handset-new additions include a  mobile device selector for users who aren't logged in, immediately  identifying which apps and games are available for different phones. In  addition, Ovi Store now boasts a five-star user rating system(up from  three), making it easier to separate the most favorably reviewed  applications.Once a king Nokia, is now going to fall and will lose out most from the  trend, according to Informa principal analyst Malik Kamal-Saadi.

The analyst anticipates that pressure will grow on Nokia and could push  the company to consider the adoption of an alternative platform. And if  Nokia joins the Android party, the support of this ecosystem by all key  players could help the mobile smartphone industry to potentially  commoditise its terminal software business much like what Microsoft did  in the PC world.
