Heard a lot about Ola cabs and finally decided to try it out when the opportunity arrived. I was to take less than 2 km ride from Bangalore East Rly Station to my home. Booked the cab previous night on my train and got a confirmation in less than a minute on the IOS app. The cab driver called me promptly at the booking time which was 6:30 am in the morning. Thanks to the delayed arrival of train, Ola cab driver waited at the station for 27 minutes of which he charged us for 17 minutes(Rs. 34)(first 10 minutes free waiting time).
My relatives with me had around 6 suitcases/duffel bags with them that was conveniently placed in the boot of the Etios. The driver was very helpful in placing the luggage in the boot of the cab.He rode the vehicle very carefully and did not overspeed at any point during our ride.A final bill of Rs. 234 was very reasonable for a Toyota Etios ride with 5 adults and 2 kids on board.
So this prompted me to book another Ola ride, this time from my home to Airport.
Here again a Toyota Etios was confirmed and the driver arrived on time. Charged us the approx Rs. 750 which is reasonable for an airport drop.
Advantages on Ola - Most of these cabs are new or very well maintained. So It gives you less vibrations or discomfort.No need to bargain with the driver on the money to pay him. SMS and display on the app after the trip is complete.Polite drivers. Most of them are educated and speaks well to their customers.
Overall a good experience with my two rides on Ola. Hope it continues to satisfy customers.
