Dear All,
Recently I had my relatives coming to Chennai from Odisha, we have taken 24 hours package of OLA outstation cab service from Chennai to Pondicherry. After reaching Pondicherry the driver demanded money for Food(Lunch), we informed him that it is all covered in the package, since the package is inclusive of Food and Stay for driver. Never said that we also informed driver that we will anyway pay him some extra cash during the end of trip as we do always, but driver continued to demand money for food, so I called Customer support and requested them talk to driver, customer support team spoke to him and informed me that they have explained the driver and its not required to pay him for food.
But driver was unhappy with it and he informed that he is NOT ready to accept terms and conditions set by OLA, so he informed me that he wanted to go back to chennai immediately and demanded me to end the trip and make the payment for one way alone, which I was NOT comfortable. Finally he started behaving badly and started to force me to make the payment so he can leave.
I again called Customer Support(after 2 hours of calls one after another) finally Ola Customer support team asked me to make a payment and they said they will adjust it during my next trip.
Problems I faced since I have taken OLA Outstation support.
Driver left once he dropped in Pondy, so we could not get alternate cab for site seeing, we managed it with local auto.
Drivers unprofessional behavior let us down in Hotel, people started looking at us and we were in awkward position.
We wasted nearly 4 hours because of such lack of clarity between Driver and OLA.
Since its a long holiday even customer support did not guarantee return cab for us, we booked on our own again, luckily we got cab and managed to return Chennai.
MY SUGGESTIONS.
Please speak to driver and align well with all Terms and Conditions before you start your travel, since no one will support you if you are in trouble.
a. OLA money will be accepted or NOT.(Since few drivers said they do not accept ola and I cancelled few cabs because of it.)
b. Food / Stay cost is included in the package and you will not pay them anything addtional for Food or Stay.
I have taken time to write this review NOT to let down OLA, but my intention is that OLA should take such review seriously and make sure Customer who trust OLA should not suffer like me. As well, this review should help traveler who book OLA Outstation to plan the trip clearly and do not end up in trouble while travelling.
