We booked a cab (Ola cabs, Pune) from Magarpatta to Pune Railway station @ 430AM in the morning. The driver arrived at 330AM and we asked him to wait because our pickup time was at 430AM. When we went to find the cab in the society, the driver parked the vehicle outside the gate of the society and was sleeping. I called him on his mobile, he did not pick up for almost a minute. Luckily, there was just one cab and we knew the cab number, so, we found him easily. Our security guard went to the vehicle and woke him up. He was so sleepy that when we asked him to open the door, to put our bags, he was just listening to us and sleeping. When I went to him and asked him again by patting him, he woke up and helped us with the luggage.
The actual horror started when our vehicle reached Fatima Nagar. The driver fell asleep and he lost control for a sec, the vehicle was about to get onto the pavement and almost hit a pole. The driver dropped his head and when we realized something is wrong, we shouted at him and he was awake again. We could not risk our lives so, we asked to stop the vehicle and got down. We were about to file a police complaint against the driver, again, we were so late because of the cab driver that we could not do that. Within 10 mins we got a message from Ola cabs that we could not track your vehicle. blah. blah.
Then another message thanking me for using the service and that my invoice of Rs 108 is on its way to my inbox. I tried calling on their customer care numbers, I could not speak to a correct and responsible person who could take action against the driver. For most of the contact numbers, you need to give a missed call and then you will get a message that thanks for your call, you will get a call within 24 hours. I called 5-6 times on their complaints number, and I am not sure which 24 hours they meant because I have not received any call till now(even after 2 days). I called the same number that I used for booking, the executive told me that he will log this a complaint and I will get a call from their supervisor within 24 hours again! I hope I have heard him correctly, hope he was not talking about 24 days!
This is the kind of service Ola cabs Pune provided me. So, if you don't care for your life, go for this cab service.
