I purchased this book because it was the number 2 best seller at Crossword. Never have I read such a poorly written book. Sorry to say but I wish that Mandar Kokate is a better publisher(he has written and published this book) than he is a writer. This is one of those books which clearly indicate that English is not our first language. The grammar of this book is so poor that I could not help but laugh. At some points it is so pathetic that it actually distracted me from the book.
The plot – Was there a plot or was it just a book meant to describe what is going in a young perverted mind. The entire book has badly written references to sex and the main character seems to be a voyeur who thinks only about one thing. The book is actually a collection of anecdotes which would have worked equally well if written in isolation in a blog. Why the 20 year old protagonist would want to marry a divorcee with a kid is not entirely clear. He has spent hardly any time with her and barely knows her. The author does not spend any time building the main characters.
The language – The author seems to have a very limited vocabulary and writes the way he thinks. To quote a line “my condition was worse than a women who is chased by hundreds of rapists”, I am not sure if this line irritated me or I found it to be very dumb. Another casein point “Her golden blouse had left a dark print on imaginative part of my brain”.
Books like this are making us dumber. Only those with immense tolerance to stupid things or those stranded with this book on a deserted island with nothing else to do should read this book. Rating this book as poor is being too generous to it.
