My daughter Laasya is studying in grade 1 CIPP in Einstien campus of Oakridge International School. I would like to share her story about learning. She learns about 30 new words every fortnite through spell bee which is a part of learning in addition to academics. This improves her vocabulary and she tries to frame sentences using those words on a daily basis in her communication. We speak telegu at home and seeing her so enthusiastic about new words and sentences makes me so happy that her foundation for communication is built. Her communication skills have improved and she has started talking a lot and tells us everything in the form of a story about her day at oakridge.
Children are rated on the basis of coloring system instead of ranking which is very good for this age group. There is no peer pressure because of this.
The concept of teaching in this school is very nice and they go beyond the knowledge in text books. The teachers give knowledge about the subject in detail to clear the concepts at a young age and develop inquisitiveness in a child. Question and answer sessions are encouraged. This ensures taking part in activities in a fun way to give an indepth knowledge about the subject.
The SDP(student developing programme) is something which is unique in this campus on a regular basis.This is done to overcome the learning disabilities in young children and make them responsible adults and leaders. This is done by engaging the students in a very vibrant, innovative and stimulating co curricular programmes, using the relevant resources and advice of professionals in respective fields.
I am so happy that I chose the right school for my daughter which is inculcating right development in her.
