OMG 2 is a 2023 Indian satirical comedy-drama film directed by Amit Rai and produced by Akshay Kumar and Vikram Malhotra under the banners of Grazing Goat Pictures and Abundantia Entertainment. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Mithun Chakraborty. It is a sequel to the 2008 film OMG: Oh My God! .

The film follows Kanti Sharan Mudgal ( Tripathi) , a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva, who sues God after his son is falsely accused of rape. He is represented in court by Jai Singh Rathore ( Kumar) , a washed-up lawyer who has lost his faith in God.

OMG 2 has been praised for its bold and thought-provoking take on religious hypocrisy. However, it has also been criticized for its uneven pacing, weak supporting characters, and lack of laughs.

Here are some of the negative reviews of OMG 2:

"A missed opportunity. OMG 2 had the potential to be a powerful and thought-provoking film, but it ultimately falls flat due to its uneven pacing, weak supporting characters, and lack of laughs." - NDTV

"A preachy and unfunny mess. OMG 2 is a disappointing sequel to the 2008 film OMG. It is preachy, unfunny, and fails to make its points effectively." - The Hindu

"A wasted opportunity. OMG 2 had all the ingredients to be a great film, but it ultimately fails to live up to its potential. The film is too long, slow-paced, and preachy. The supporting characters are underdeveloped, and the jokes fall flat." - Film Companion

Overall, OMG 2 is a disappointing sequel to the 2008 film OMG. It is preachy, unfunny, and fails to make its points effectively. The film is too long, slow-paced, and the supporting characters are underdeveloped. If you are looking for a funny and thought-provoking film about religious hypocrisy, I would recommend watching the original OMG instead.
