Obviously, they condition the air. I feel these air conditioners are useful in desert countries. In other plain countries, especially India, it is not necessary. First of all by trying to condition the air present in the atmosphere, it is spoiling nature. Secondly, it is very bad for the human body.
I have suffered major skin problems due to air conditioners. I developed such dry skin that it started peeling like fish scales. The doctors called it psoriasis. I spent lot of time & money to get a cure for it. By God's grace it is cured now. This happens because the air conditioner dries up the skin and makes you de-hydrated. Because of the cooling effect, one does not even realize that he/she is thirsty and should drink water. That adds to the problem.
Now a days, since the central a/c system in place, the problem is all the more difficult. You can not switch off the a/c because your neighbor feels hot. They don't have any consideration for others problems. Even in the days of shivering and cold, they can't do without a/c.
Only one question I would like to ask such people, what happens to them when the day returns to the good old ancient times where they have to use hand-fans? Will they be strong enough to survive such a crisis?
