Air Conditioner is an essential household item in every ones daily life. After a long search and quite good research we found that O General is the best and trustworthy brand in air conditioners. This was a 2 year old story, since two years my family was using O General air conditioner and I want to share my experience.
Initially there were too many other brand options for us like lg, tcl, and bluestar. Each brand has its pros and cons but the major thing to consider O General was that its service center was too near from my home located in anna nagar Chennai, which indeed this helped us a lot in these two years. So our decision was never a bad thing.
Build Quality:
It has a quite impressive build quality with premium finish which I couldn't find in other brands. It weighs around 5-6 kgs irrespective of the out stand which is placed out of the room. Ac has good looks with white color, you can check the picture attached. The remote provided was very nice and without any confusion even a new member can operate it.
Tonnage:
Before buying this we have contacted the representative, he sent his executive guy to our home for analysing and he suggested that 2.0 tonnage suits the room. I know that tonnage is the gas equipment attached to the ac but here O General has a quite interesting feature of splitting air depending on the room size. So finally we took 2.0 tonnages which increased 3k more in our budget.
Performance:
Major and important factor to be considered, I personally feel that it has a unique Sensation for cooling. I feel very good sleeping under my ac but when I sleep in my uncle’s home which is equipped with bluestar it doesn't feel that premium as O General. Coming to its cooling, when I start the ac it runs on fan mode for 3-4 minutes, quickly motor loads into ac mode. It takes around 20-25 minutes to cool up our room. We are quite happy with its performance as it never troubled us till now.
Power Economy:
As we all use ac maximum in summer seasons, so we can guess out our electricity bill during March to May. In economy aspect I want to suggest O General team to improve. On an average we use 4-5 hours as an overall monthly of 100-120 hours and our electricity generates around 2.5k which is too high for just 3 members. When I came across some blogs over web some experts says that O General consumes more power, so please keep in mind if you are planning for O General.
Service:
I give 5/5 for O General Service centre they were so patient to help their customers. Since starting they were supporting all the time. We regularly have servicing for 4 months, with just one reminder on call their executive comes on the same day and does the service.
