Nykaa, a renowned e-commerce platform, for their unfair business practices and refusal to provide a replacement for a damaged product I purchased from them.
They provide the worst customer experience. If you never had it, consider yourself lucky but you will someday for sure.
On 1 April 2024, I placed an order with Nykaa for Mac Foundation Compact (NC-30)worth Rs. 3596.
Upon receiving the package, I discovered that the product was severely damaged and arrived in an appalling condition, which was clearly a result of inadequate packaging.
Furthermore, upon inspection, I found that the product is nearing its expiry date, rendering it practically useless to me.
As per Nykaa's policy, I promptly raised a request for a replacement, providing photographic evidence of the damage.
However, Nykaa unjustly denied my request for a replacement, citing previous replacement or refund requests as grounds for denial, despite the product being clearly eligible for replacement or refund due to its condition upon arrival.
I have faced similar issues in the past, which led me to cease purchasing it online from nykaa. I resorted to purchasing this particular product from a physical store (MAC) instead. However, due to time constraints, I decided to give it a try, only to be disappointed once again.
This denial of a replacement is a clear violation of consumer rights and is indicative of Nykaa's disregard for customer satisfaction and fair business practice. As a consumer, I expect to receive products in good condition and to be provided with appropriate remedies in case of receiving damaged goods.
I have attempted to resolve this matter with Nykaa directly, but they have denied to provide a satisfactory resolution and took the money as well and I'm stuck with a broken product worth almost Rs.3600.
