While the first film was an entertaining thriller on puzzling magic tricks and quick chases, this one is more of an emotional saga, replete with infinite twists, hectic plot and talkative characters.
A few smart action scenes do pique your interest but too many people have too many hidden motives.
This entanglement adds to the thrill but takes the magic out of the story. After a point, you stop caring about who is who and why are they chasing so and so and how do they do it?
