Me and my husband visited the north sikkim in our honeymoon on 8th to 9th feb this year. It was a wonderful experience. The whole area was covered with snow, it was looking like a paradise. Our plan was to go to the yumthang valley, katao and also to the gurudongmar lake. We had to postpone our plan for gurudongmar lake as the road was blocked due to heavy snowfall. We couldn't even reach Yumthang due to the snow. But still it was wonderful, as breathtaking views were on offer from our night halt place LACHUNG . the problems we have faced in the trip are the rooms and the food were very bad, the rooms even had holes in the wooden wall. What ever in the next time I would surely not hire a shared car I will go by personal car as we faced so many problems in the shared car. Ne ways for me it was the best trip ever I would strongly recommend the couples to go and enjoy the nature in such a silent atmosphere. A small warning however there will be very very cold so be sure to pack heavy woollens.
