I joined Tata power recently and left it within 1 year. I couldnt take it. Expecting it to be just like an MNC would be heartless, however, it isnt even a proper functioning private company.
90% of workforce is people who are 40+. Rest are freshers. And 99.99% of them dont know how to speak english. I wonder how they got IT technology oriented jobs.
Secondly, most of these oldies are here since Tata Power started(maybe even pre-Tata power) and they enjoy the nepotism and cronyism to the fullest.
The freshers get a great opportunity(better than in MNCs) for sure. However, they are all employee wards. They all have their close relatives within the org.
As a matter of fact, finding someone in this company whose daddy or uncle isnt in this company is next to impossible. And since they are in a cushioned job with perks better than an MNC(not infrastructurally though), they never leave. They keep getting new projects or technologies to work upon. Partially happens not only coz of cronyism but coz of nepotism and shaadi ki mithai and tuesday ki mithai and thursday ki mithai as well.
And those who are in their late 30s want to become DGMs instantly. They have nothing to do so they keep a close check on everybody and anybodys monitors. Even those who dont even know who they are. They monitor what they wear, where did they buy it from, how much money these guys get, where they live, how many steps it takes to go to their bathroom from their bed every intimate detail.
This company is full of vellas and employees and their blood relatives will keep playing games and take this company to the ground.
