Need a fabulous camera that offers cell phone facilities & which costs as much as a decent branded notebook? Well then, here we go-

So here’s finally one of the most anticipated models of the Nokia series-- the Nokia N93. No wonder there’s a lot of dire suspense and curiosity revolving around this gadget. Well why not? This smart phone is a technological marvel. Dubbed as a high-end "multimedia computer" by Nokia, it boasts a 3.2-megapixel video camera with Carl Zeiss optics, & records MPEG-4 video at 30 frames per second. Which is quite a handful! It has a dual-hinge swivel design screen, which makes shooting really cool, Add TV-out capabilities, photo and video editors, Symbian OS, 3G,Quad Band, Web-Browser, USB, IR, Blue-tooth, Wi-Fi, FM, Music player, e-mail support—and you’ve got the works. A big set of features for a big phone—Yes siree, this mobile is bulky.

Aesthetics aside, the N93 performs most of its functions well, but it's not for everyone. Its main strength is the camera and not the phone. Navigation isn’t exactly a cakewalk unless you are the type who breathes gadgets. This piece is best suited for those who love all-in-one devices, and crave the latest and greatest in convergence technology, aka the geek types. If you ain’t the type, then why invite complications? Think of it as a smart powerful hand-held digital still/video camera with connectivity features—and the cell phone as addon bonus. Mind you, the price range is around 40 grand? Think there's value for money?

overview in a nut-shell

The good:The Nokia N93 is equipped with a fantastic 3.2-megapixelcamera with video-recording capabilities. Loads of other features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, music player, Data Connectivity, FM radio, and e-mailcapabilities. A very good mobile digital camera that can superbly shoot both STILLS and VIDEO images.

The bad:No matter how cutting-edge a phone is, if it doesn't perform the core functions of a cell phone with ease, it can be a drag, That's a problem with this baby. The Nokia N93 is on the heavier side, making it awkward to use as a phone. There are complains about the poor signal quality too. Navigation needs getting used to. High battery consumption. But then that is expected in high-end phones. You wouldn’t expect good mileage from a Ferrari would you? And the price.. Nope. Not good value to price ratio. Poor signal quality is what concerns you.

The bottom line:The powerful Nokia N93 does a respectable job of integrating quality multimedia capabilities into a cellphone. That said, it's a bulky handset and is best suited for convergence fanatics and gadget hounds. get an N93 only if you want a video camera that can make phone calls. If you ask me, I'd say, yo wazzup? wanna blow some dough, go to a health spa and pamper yourself.
