I bought a new Nokia N-70 mobile on October 1st 2007 and on 18th June 2010, the display had gone. I went to Samvradhi Technologies, Koramangala which is a premium Nokia Care center. I had given the mobile for repair on 19th June.They told two option :
a) They will first check whether they can correct it through hardware repair.In that case the cost will be around Rs.900/-
b) The will replace the display unit, if the hard ware repair can't correct the problem. In that case it will cost Rs.2100/-
They collected me Rs.50 for inspection charge. On 21st 2010 arround 10.30 AM ( their opening time is 10 AM) I got a message saying my mobile is ready for collection. I went to their office and they told they replaced the display unit and I have to pay Rs.2100/-. I have paid the amount and collected the mobile.
Just after 5 days, the same issue happened again. The display had gone!!. I visited Samvradhi Technologies, Koramangala again on 28th June, They sent the mobile for inspection and I got it back corrected with in 45 minutes. They told the software was not updated, and that was the reason of the issue. I asked them, then how it was working for the last 5 days and the lady in the dispatch section didn't have any answer.
Just after one day, on 30th June 2010, the display had gone once again. I got a blank white screen for the mobile. I went to the Samvradhi Technologies, Koramangala on 30th June 2010 evening and they took only 10 minutes to correct the problem.I aksed the lady whowas there in the dispatch section what repair they have done this time and she answered" I don't know...we are giving themobile to the closed repairroom and not saure what they are doing". But just after reaching by home, I noticed the display has gone for the 3rd time after they repaired the mobile.
I suspect they didn't change the display unit, rather they cheated me saying they changed the display unit and charged Rs.2100/-
I am thinking to go to the consumer court, if they don't reimburse the money I paid to them.
