WINDOWS OS SUCKS. Review on Nokia Lumia 520

About a month ago I had to complete an assignment for my higher studies. Naturally, I relied on my Lumia 520 to download notes in form of pdf files. To my surprise, I cannot get the pdf files out of the adobe reader. It lets to read it but not let you transfer the files to your computer. Even I could not download pdf files from email, windows offers only to view the files in pdf reader and you CANNOT DOWNLOAD them. You cannot download anything from email even a zip file is viewable on zip file reader but the files stays within the respective software and you cannot transfer them to computer in any way. Also the email attachments are viewable only if you let Nokia download them into your phone. You click on the files and wait till nokia completed the download process only then you can view it or send it to another mail id with the attachment intact. Why the heck the mail attachments are already stored in global servers then why windows required them to be downloaded locally for sending them to another mail id? If you don't follow the process then the other end will not receive the attachments.

Next almost all apps and games are only downloadable from windows stores. First the collection is less compared to  android OS and most decent softwares are for a price that too only payable by credit card and not with phone balance. I dont have a credit card then how I am going to buy the apps? So all these troubles aside why just l  use the phone as a modem by connecting it to computer NO! You should have atleast a windows 7 on your computer first, XP dont work. I don't like windows 7, why do I need to change my OS ?

Next thing is internet explorer browser which is lame and lacks features. Any external browsers like UC browser wont work properly for long because windows supplies limited memory for them while IE has unlimited. The ringtone volume is very low as always, its very easy to not notice incoming calls. The battery backup is extremely poor and just stays for an hour or two if you decide to 3G surf. If you use battery saver plus low brightness then it may stay ON for three and half hours. It heats up a lot for unknown reasons.

It does not have a inbuilt call recorder, I may use other softwares for that but you cant get that audio out then what is the use?. The Bluetooth is again useless because the phone only connects with a windows phone not with other phones. Its only useful for connecting internet through BT with a laptop. Microsoft seeks to force the world not only convert to its products but also forces to keep on upgrading them. This mobile is completely unsatisfactory for my needs.

It lacks even some of the most basic functions. If you are a business person who use the phone only as various means of communication then it might be ok. But if you intend to use it for multi purpose, then I highly recommend an Android phone.

I wish if my brother in law had gifted me a celcon Rs.4000/- android rather than this mobile, I would have been happier.
