I've been using Nokia Lumia 510 for the past 4 months. Got Nokia because I have always had Nokia and I trust the brand.
My reviews are completely based on my user experience as a person who uses mobile features to the fullest
1) The voice quality is low.
My phone has thin plastic cover yet the it is very difficult to hear the voice of caller during call. So imagine what the condition will be if we are in crowded area like bus, cafes etc.
Problem Low sound makes this difficult to use it for conversation which is the main purpose of the phone
2) No attachment option for documents/pdf/excel/ note etc given in email reply
When I have to reply to a email and send my resume or any other office documents as attachment, it is not possible. When I reply, the attachments link will take only to the photo albums. So while sending reply only photo attachment is possible.
Problem: If I have to reply to an email and attach any documents then I have to send text reply in one email and then compose a new email to attach documents/pdf/excel/ note etc
3) 4GB memory is less and skydrive works slow on 2G
Not that I have used all the 4GB is last 2 months but I wanted to just some important data to Skydrive, which has still not been possible because of the slow speed
4) Camera not great
5 pixel camera, but no options like flash, night vision, b/w etc while taking pic. Even the 5 pixel camera does not procedure great pictures
Problem: Picture quality not like a 5 pixel camera
5) No loudspeaker option while listening to radio
The radio works only with headphone and nor loudspeaker option is available if you want others in the room to also enjoy the music
6) Missing great andriod apps on Windows phone
Google keep is a great app for taking notes, pictures, organizing things etc. However no great app like this was found on Nokia app store.
7) Calender does not great for reminder of birthday, anniversary
My earlier Nokia phone gave options of saving important dates as birthday, anniversary and other important dates. So it was not required to type if a specific date was a birthday / anniversary of which person
Problem: Calender does not show birthdays, anniversary etc in a month, it is just like any schedule on a date
8) Message Problem
All message from a sender are stored in one single thread. There is no option is deleting one message from the thread
9) Message Problem
Bulk message send is a problem. If I am sending message to 3 people and because of some reason the message can't be sent to any one person then the rest 2 people will also not get the message. Either message will be delivered to all the recipient or none. Moreover it will not show that which recipient's number is causing the delivery fail problem.
10) Music Playlist not possible on phone
Can't add multiple songs to playlist. Playlist can come only after connecting to computer
11) Initially no Bluetooth available but later you can upgrade the software from the Nokia store and avail of Bluetooth
12) Not ease of connectivity to computer
It needs Zune software to connect to computer. Zune is pretty huge file and more than 100 MB and takes ages to download. Zune does not get connected to older computers with Windows XP etc.
13) Good looks but the usability is greatly compromised as compared to the price of around Rs. 10, 000. Not a user friendly phone.
