I have been using Nokia phone for the last 9 yrs but over the period I find they have started looting Indians on the name of warranty void on the name of liquid damage. In the last 4 months, I  needed to take 3 different phones ( 2 of my sister  and the last one is My Nokia E7) and Nokia care refused to consider any of them under warranty saying its a liquid damage. No complain can be registered if I assert there has never been any liquid damage. Separate reviews on Nokia Care show hundreds of complains against Nokia.

I bough Nokia E7 in May, 2011 and after 3 months or so, it stared giving trouble in charging the phone. Sometimes it used to charge and sometimes not. I went to Nokia Care and they said its charging well. I told it stops charging sometimes then they told me to bring charger also with the phone. I knew the charger was alright because it was not charging even by connecting USB cable to computer. But somehow, when they checked my charging port of the phone, it started working in a better way. Sometimes I had to restart the phone when it stopped charging and it started working again. After a month or so, it stopped charging completely and I took the phone again to Nokia Care.

This time they told me its a liquid damage and estimated cost of Rs. 4200 was given for repairing. I told them my phone is within warranty but that was of no use. They has a cell number written on wall for complain/suggestion (Mr. Gulati, Nokia Care, Gol Market, New Delhi) but that number was switched off. I contacted their customer care number but they replied no complain can be forwarded in case of liquid damage. It is understood that as a policy, Nokia will not entertain any complain against any of their handset and they label every malfunction as liquid damage. When I told them this problem existed even a month back, Nokia Care said we are not responsible for what happened a month back. Since it was III instance in last 5 months, I was bound to unearth their cheating. So I demanded how many cellphones they have taken on that day under warranty for free repairs or please carry out thie liquid damage test on running phones also. I strongly claimed either there is no liquid damage or every phone in India will fail under ELS test, you are reportedly carrying out for checking liquid damage because a phone charging problem is not related to liquid damage as my phone is otherwise working ok. But they agreed for neither of them.

Coming to other problems, as many other users have reported, this call disconnect icon is lost somewhere I cannot find and I have to wait for other person to disconnect the call. God knows what will happen when both of us will be having Nokia E7!

Service by Nokia is becoming a major concern. I request the uses to make a group and start a movement on FB or something to teach a  lesson to the company. if they cannot make phones which can work in India, they should not sell them here.
