Awesome features. Review on Nokia E62

I had brought this phone 5 months ago, and was totally amazed by it's features. It has built in office applications which are very useful. I was able to use all MS excel formulas in this phone. The power point slide can also be viewed in this. Though there are not all features of office applications enabled, but there are just enough to be used for basic usage. You can download many application from internet and used them on the phone.

Ease of surfing the internet using the phone is a good point why frequent internet users should buy this phone. Although the default browser might not support internet connectivity, one can download opera mini browser and can visit any website over internet. The picture clarity is amazing. The internet connectivity is so cool that I can access my office mail from my mobile itself. Also, it allows attachment of an email to be downloaded and seen from mobile phone itself.

There is support for various file formats like .doc, .xls, .ppt, .pps, .pdf, .zip, .txt and flash files can also be viewed using this phone. I have observed that password encrypted PDF files cannot be accessed using E62's PDF viewer.

Phone has amazing sound clarity and the phone's speaker is also really good. Looking at it's bulky size one might argue why it doesn't have a FM radio added with it?

Another important feature of this phone is Multi-tasking. That is to say, I can listen to music while I play game or while I surf internet. The mobile's OS is quite stable, but I have seen in a very few instances that  some applications do crash while multi-tasking. Another bad point of this phone is the position of the power button. The power button is placed right at the front face of the phone. This is a bad idea as every time I try to put the phone in my pocket or pouch, it gets switched off. However, we can lock the keypad everytime we try to put the phone in our pocket. But it would have been better if there was an auto-keylock facility available.

I had recently downloaded google maps on my mobile and I am able to use it just as good as we use it on any normal computer. This is a real value add to the phone and acts like GPS device for me. Every time I have to travel to a place, I just launch the google maps applications and find a path to the destination. Google map also provides satellite view. This is really helpful to pinpoint locations. The search engine of google maps is so cool that I can even pin-point resturants in Bangalore, try "chandni chauk, bangalore, india".

If you can afford a 1GB memory card for this phone, then while you travel home after work in your bus, you can also enjoy a cool movie on your phone. E62 comes with a mp3 and real video player. The big screen make watching a movie more enjoyable.

I am not going to complain that the phone doesn't have a camera as I never needed one. But for the features it offers at the price, it's worth having it!
