It's been about 5 months since I am using nokia e6 as my basic phone. I don't know if other reviewers have run really out of luck or what, but my experience with this phone has been nearly perfect. I recently upgraded my phone to Symbial belle from Anna and my phone has improved a lot. Earlier I used to face wi-fi connectivity and dropping problems but since I upgraded to belle, everything is fine.

My idea of a phone was that I should get ease of use, strong internet connectivity (both on 3g and wi-fi), seamless e-mailing, video calls, good call quality, high quality qwerty keypad as I am a heavy texter. It serves all my purposes with ease. Nokia in the past has been in news about discontinuing Symbian development in next 5 years. But that does not mean that your phone will stop working. It just means that you won't get OS upgrades and support like patch update, Anna to belle, belle to carla, carla to donna and the like. If you somehow purchased this phone for playing games and other big screen charms, then sorry, your choice was wrong if you ended up purchasing this phone.

My E6 can any day prove more worthy than any blackberry, a brand known for mobile texters. The only thing is the absence of some service parallel to Blackberry internet service. I heard that Nokia is actively working on setting up it's enterprise servers for enhanced and more secure push mail service, intercept-able by TRAI (the reason why blackberry had a hard time in India previously). So one day, you might see Nokia handsets being distributed to employees by Corporates for mobile e-mailing.

Of course there are negatives in this phone too. Camera shots are not that great and most of all, Symbian is no more an attractive option to developers, looking at the decreasing popularity and it's demise coming near. But still, I find a lot of development potential in Symbian. Who knows, some other company might take it over as a cheaper investment and undertake the development.

Well I was really surprised to see so many reviews about phone freezing, intermittent automatic restarts and the like. I think I was fortunate enough that I got a good piece.
