This review is about Nokia & their chain of Nokia Care centre in Jayanagar 4th Block Bangalore (Opp Vijaya Junior School) and the service provided by "The CarePoint".
I bought this mobile 3 months back and last month the mobile started acting weird (keypad buttons not working). I took the handset to "CarePoint" in Jayanagar 4th Block to get this rectified. Executives there told me that since there is water damage in the mobile (God knows how the water damage incurred - I usually take great care of the phones). I didn’t want to start pulling a fight right then & agreed to their charge of Rs400 as charges for rectifying the damage.
The next day I receive a call from the executive saying that the component has to be replaced and will cost Rs1800. I agreed to that and a week later went to pick up my phone. I collected the phone and I didn’t even reach home when the phone started acting weird again. I went to the service centre again the next week and at first they told it will be done for free, but later the "The CarePoint" executive asked me to sign a "dead approved" agreement so even if the mobile conks off during repair “CarePoint” is not liable. And this time the damage was again water damage.
This clearly means that they have not done the first service properly and they have cheated me Rs1800 for replacing a component which was never replaced. What a stupid thing to do when I don’t even know that a proper trained technician is going to work on the mobile. I refused to do that and eventually the matter went to the floor manager who waived off the dead approved agreement.
After that the CarePoint executive didn’t even bother to communicate that the mobile is ready. This noon I called them & found that the issue has been resolved and I can collect the mobile. On second thoughts I visited the site mentioned in the job sheet card for tracking the job status https://namscareonline.com/
I entered the job sheet number (032434038/080816/82) and the status mentioned was “Status- Closed / Unrepaired” and closed on 16th August (Day I gave my mobile for the second service)
I called the CarePoint executive – Asha again to reconfirm & her response was so indecent, rude & total arrogant attitude. She spoke to me as if these pricks are my master & doing me a favor. And when asked for the floor manager I was asked to come to their service centre to talk to him & the lines cannot be transferred. This I got after being on hold for close to 15 minutes.
I got 3 things to convey using this review.
One Nokia to rectify these unruly service centers
Two CarePoint to teach their executives to be polite & courteous
How can a mobile sustain water damage when I have maintained it properly? Either Nokia has a flaw or CarePoint is cheating Nokia clients by falsifying the records.
These unruly service centers like “CarePoint” are really damaging Nokia’s reputation
I strongly vouch that Nokia should cancel CarePoint s license to service Nokia Mobile phones.
