Nokia - Auth. Service Center: Everest Mobicare, 10, Lenin Sarani, Kolkata - 700013
I have visited the above service center on 14.11.2013 to solve the touch panel problem facing by me from my mobile Nokia Asha 305, which I have purchased on 18.11.2012( within 1 year warranty period)
But the Engineer & Service Personnel present at the service center has asked a charge of Rs.1750/- to repair the problem. I have claimed that the above handset is within warranty and should be repair without any charge. But both the attendant had claimed that the handset is physically damage so we can't repair the handset within warranty.
The attendants claim of Physically damage of handset is just only the wear & tear which is
caused due to daily usage of handset.( A Photo of the handset is attached for your perusal)
Even though I asked for the report for their claim but to my utter surprise that they have demand a charge of Rs.55/- for that report, even though against my repeated claim that the handset is in warranty period and you have to provide the report to the customer free of cost to satisfied their grievance of not getting the service within warranty period.
Although I have paid their demanded charge and get a copy of report and bill from them, ( scan copy of both are attached), as I feel argue with them is only wastage of time.
If such service is given by nokia service centre to their customer for their handset within warranty period then it is useless for nokia to provide any warranty at the time of sale, because no one is buying mobile to keep in showcase to protect it from the daily usage wear & tear.
So, from the above experience I must say that "beware of buying NOKIA MOBILE"
