The developing technology and Declining cost value of Phones, thanks to new competitor like Micro max, Max or Karbone, Nokia has been bringing lots of new products in affordable price since a year. And because of their good easiness of use (better than of mobiles which uses software of Chinese Mobile), it has given a flexibility use to their customer with the wide range of applications installed...
My mum bought this Nokia phone, Nokia C2 01 two months ago for her use. The user interface with this phone was similar of her last mobile NOKIA 6085 and it seems like upgraded form of Nokia Supernova 7210. On the glance, it looked like the classic series which Nokia had released, but yeah, along with the time and the use, It happened to be the better choice at the convenient price.
Special feature-
Nokia C2 01
3.2 mp camera- Camera clarity are good, may be the best one till the series featuring to this price. Though 3.2 MP camera is its basic, photo quality can be varied from 0.1 MP ( 240* 320 ) to 3.2 MP (1536*2048). there is also the option of 4 * zoom
Music Player-
Music player with this phone, supporting both MP3/Mp4 and .wma feature (which even Sony and other new brand doesn't support). Sound quality with this phone is very good, and not even irritable. So either with the headphone or without, you can enjoy the music player with nokia c2-01
Messaging-
Sms recieved can be viewed in the either form as of conversation (where message from a number are gathered together) or inbox ( as classical view we have in other phones). Typing message on Nokia phones (even with T9 dictionary) are good than cheaper phones. With Nokia phones, undoubtedly, you can store unlimited no. of messages (I had saved till 10k sms), but this can surely slow down your phone system.
Phone memory-
Nokia C2 01 has phone memory of 64 MB and it easily supports 2GB external memory and may be it can be extendable till 16 GB. But with 64 MB of Phone memory, possibility of slow down of phone and limited application should be very rare, though all can be predicted just within the two months of use.
while going with the Gallery, it first gives the option that all photos we clicked or stored in entire phone and card can be viewed on a place, (12 photos once within a screen as thumbnails), so it is unique on some way.
Battery life is comparatively good than other phone, so no such issues with battery exhausting soon. But it may arise after 18 months of use, as it normally happens with nokia mobile.
Keypad function and outer cover is ok and you can use it without any difficulty.
Still, on many way, this phone lacks following features, which shouldnt have been missed..
Data Cable and CD- atleast they should have given a small data cable and cd with this phone but nokia is seen greedy enough!! As data cable from outside is not so durable, it is expectation from the customer of data cable.
Length of charger:- Comparative to phone released on 2008, 09, 10 and 11, I have observed that Length of charger in Nokia has been decreasing dad by day. More ever the quality of Headphone has also been decreasing day by day.
Music and camera short cut button key lacks on this phone, which we can find with other model of Nokia Phone.
They have installed Dictionary application with other nokia mobiles, but this phone lacks the wide range of good installed application. Even do not expect this phone to be fun for gaming though you can play few games here!!
Although it is recent launched product, It doesnt support 3G.
While trying to upgrade their tools and features, Nokia are decreasing the quality of hardware and accessories,
Recently, lots of problem of Mobile hanging and unexpected shut down has been seen even in new nokia phone (though i've not found the problem with my phone), it shows the declining dedication of NOKIA itself.
The main problem that occurs with nokia phone is that function of antenna to receive network signal are seen with Nokia (this one I have found myself in the last three mobiles I have used) and had no option other than throwing them..
Out going voice quality declines after a year (where company guarantee is finished) and better repairing cant be done..
Service by nokia care might be assured one, but they take about 15 days for even a small hardware defect occured, and if it out of guarantee, buying a new phone comes in mind before paying repairing charge...
With all these, the product Nokia C2 01 is a good one at glance, u can enjoy, but still the other option,
wait for new 3G products, and do choice on yourself
Price of Rs 4200 makes this Nokia model Nokia C2 01 a good phone, but due to its lacking feature, and other problems I recently faced with Nokia
