That’s their punch line; makes you think if the road on the left suddenly was painted blue or your office cubicle was reengineered to reflect the sky or was it your boss’s wife favorite color!! Anyways..... ladies and gentlemen before I tread any further, I would like to say that I am no agent of the Nokia franchise just a simple consumer, who likes to pass a fair judgment.

Nokia 8250, now here's a model targeted mainly as a style accessory and with a few more features that stack on to its silver back (express on color covers can be many but that's what mostly people like) has made quite an impression in the market (more so in the hands of the owner in the night, when you see it light the dark).

The model was among the first in the market to boast of a blue back light and at a premium price with an equally sophisticated and fine design, it was certainly for those who could shed some moolah and know why they have bought it in the first place. This is a style accessory and note the word ''Style'' again, because many people complain of features missing and of its exuberant price, they forget its not a power toy, like those offered by the 60's (6610, 6310 and all) or the more rugged 30's (3310, 3350 and the likes). Coming to the basics the phone has all the standard features of the 3310, its step sibling (real sibling may be any model in the 80's club, as I just retreated its genealogical hierarchy). What’s unique about this set is its X shaped nav bar, blue light and sleek design. To add to it, it comes with a PC suite to exchange some rudimentary things back and forth with your PC; forget it, that’s something many of us don’t bother with, right. We first have to exploit the other menu options that come pre packaged with it and many of us don’t go beyond the phone book. Do we, nah, I can already see the head nod and people scorn on me!!

What I would like to say in its support is that just as Mercedes which is equivalent to seven or was it ten (pardon my math, never was good at it) Maruti or such doesn’t mean that its seven times more spacious and all, a premium price which doubles compared to other sets has to do more with its design and aesthetic values which are meant to be reflected in the owner’s hand and stance.

So for the features offered I can only complain that it has a shriveled ring tone which easily dies down in a crowd and a very heavy battery usage which could definitely be worth an overhaul, I would prefer if the brainies at the Nokia center could have something like a light sensor which only let the back light in dark not in the day time. For blue or green, in the daytime everything is the same. Of course not, if you are among the few who have already bought the new 6610 or 7650, enjoy the talk or was it the walk!?
