I bought this phone about 6 months back. It was an impulse purchase. Was looking for a business phone. Shortlisted this one and nokia E50. Finally decided on this for its stylish look.
The first this hits you is that this phone doesn't have alphabets on the key pads. It may bother you for 10-15 days. But once you start using this phone more.you will realize that even numbers on the key board ar not needed.
Most importantly, this phone is on Symbian OS, so lots of stuff you can download from
https://shop.my-symbian.com/PlatformHome.jsp?siteId=695&platformId=4&osId=825
profimail to get you mail client to your hand set. This work really good. Stay away if your mail box traffic is very high.
Azpen - text input software. If you do not want to use stylus all the time.
If you do not want to pay for any of these softwares.then go to
https://symbian-freeware.com
you will find loads of stuff here.
You can use this phone as a good MP3 player as well. I have added a 2 GB SD card with loads of songs. Sound clarity is also real good.
I am very happy with this phone. Only two -ve points I want to highlight.
OS is bit unstable. Had to re-set twice in 6 months. So keep taking back up of your data.
Putting the phone on loud speaker is very difficult. Specially when you are driving.
Bit of history: This phone is originally desiged by Ben-Q. This company was bought over by Nokia to acquire expertise in UIQ(Touch pad) technology. If you look at 6708, its a simple re-branding of Ben-Q. Thats why you can't fit in your regular charger to this phone!
