Almost perfect.... Review on Nokia 6681

I got nokia 6681 few weeks back and still marvelling many things it can do without any problem....for starters the screen is big 256k and I dare to say tht its more lively than 65k(yes I had nokia 6230 which was 65k).overall appearance is quite nice and more classic bussiness style especially the silver shade.it has a nice 1.3 megapixel camera which takes brilliant snaps for a phone camera though it demands proper lighting scheme.....it also has 6x zoom which is neat though blur is quite obvious...nightmode is better than 6600/6670 and yes it has a flash which works as a flash and (unlike motorola e398)and really brightens up the image plus u have got plenty of adjustments like brightness and contrast and schemes like sepia/ b&w..i would recommend to take snaps at max brightness and high image setting.. the camera has typical 1-4 seconds delay which is more obvious in nightmode...

the 2nd most imp thing is mp3 player and it doesnt let u down...its real stereo unlike mono 6600/6670 and not like a dual mono kinda cheap output u will find in 3230...though I would have loved to have standard jack input for earphone cause the supplied earphones lack bass even though being crystal clear....the phone lacks a FM TUNER ... I wonder why cause 3230/6260 symbian phones have it....may be its nokia marketing policy more than anything else.... the pop-port connector is easy to use and lets u use number of attachments like headsets and DKU-2 usb cable ...

the phone has bluetooth which worked flawlessly for me though it lacks IR .....

the thing is really liked abt this phone is hot swappable mem.card...u dont need to switch off the phone and take out battery to access the card anymore...just open the side hatch and its done.....though I have heard of memmory card data loss in such systems I had no problems using it many a time...now the card it self is DV-RSMMC....it simply means it dual voltage and little more expensive than normal 6670 cards....i have never used the adapter supplied to use this card in 6670/7610 but other way round didnt work...no luck when tried to use 6670 card in my phone..

the phone has all the necessary softwares like realplayer and mp3 player preinstalled,still I would recommend some freewares.....the menu is typical symbian except the completely revamped gallery... I liked it more than 6600 gallery simply cause u dont need to switch between the phone and mem.card all the time...i can save all my incomming messages directly on mem card..the phone is much faster than any symbian phone be it 6600 or 6670..it hardly gets hung up like 3230..but yes it did 2-3 times in my case..it has faster processor(220 mhz) than 3230/6670(120 mhz) and newer version of symbian system (version 8 ) I could use quick office and adobe pdf quite easily....

on hind side as I said it doesnt have FM TUNER and IR but most worrying factor is the slider which protects the camera lens... I feel its really delicate and might get damaged after frequent usage... the phone is kinda heavier and bulky .... surely not to be kept in jeans...rest of the phone is nicely built and the keypad is extremly easy to handle..the battery life is good as its been nokia's pluspoint along with standard charger...

i would surely recommend this phone ....though its kinda expensive at 17.5 k
