I got this Nokia 6680 as a gift. At the beginning I liked the idea of having two cameras but while using it the following was noticed:
- Ease of use: Unlike other Nokia Mobiles I used this one was a little bit complicated. Which would write-off the ease of use. On the other hand photo management is quite good.
- Security: This is one of the major drawbacks. When security is on you can't see if the call you have received is on or not. The screen doesn't display status but instead it maintains the key lock photo. So, in some cases I keep it on with caller on the other side. Besides, you can't control any of the received telephone commands while receiving a call until you unlock the phone. But still you can receive the call?
- Messages: You can't start writing a message then add a telephone number not on your list. Instead you have to first type the number then make the message. That's again an ease of use issue
- Size does matter: The mobile is BIG in size compared to other mobiles. Understanding the available functionalities but still I find it extremely big and within a very short period started looking for replacement.
- Memory size: I do find memory size convenient for simple use but if someone would want to use it heavily then an additional memory card is a must.
- Software: I find the available software very useful, easy to use and have a big five for it
- Battery life: Well, here the battery will not serve a heavy user unless it was charged everyday.
- Failure: During my very short period of use less than 2 months I had a strange failure when the mobile failed to identify tel numbers of called or received calls. This was fixed by switching it off then on again!
I did not investigate all the other available facilities but though it is a reasonably good mobile but I don't think it's the one for me.
