I got hold on a Nokia 6610i on April 5,2005. Initially I was very much puzzled about which model to buy, then zeroed down to 7610: yes-that Rs. 18000 wala model.
But then, my friend who was with me suggested me about this and I went for it. This one is surely a value for money: ( FM, camera and polyphonic in just Rs. 7800!! ). I bought it instantly because from the next day, the prices were set to pitch northwards because of that damn VAT. Anyways, I had pretty good experiences with it.
The battery stand by time is good: I could listen to FM 2 hours daily( Up and down journey to my office ) for four days and could attend to almost 10 minutes of aggregate call time without charging the battery.
The functions are also nice. The number of games is also two, but trying bounce on Nokia 2600 first and then on this one gave me a complex. Here its not that happening.
You can set the clicked image as wallpaper (phew!! so what?? )
But know what, the image quality is not that good as happens to be there on other peer models. ( Take 6600 or 7610 for instance. )
Memory should have no issue here because 4mb shared, is more than sufficient for a mobile phone So all contacts, pictures, tones etc can be accommodated.
But why on earth is such a machine not having sound recorder??Yes, bluetooth is not there.
Noticed one peculiar thing........ contact group named ''friends'' has a logo of circular sunflower while that named ''family'' has blinking hearts as its logo?? Also, other logos with respect to their names are not justified. And guess what?? You can't change the logos. Yes, but you can change the names of the groups.
Maximum volume for ringtone doesn't hear like maximum, but still, manageable.
The alarm has to be set daily for that purpose, it inactivates after single application.
And yes, the picture flashes when that person calls you( if you have configured it like that ).
I believe that much should be enough. Because the important ones have already been mentioned by other more research guys.
