I always wanted a good flip phone, thats not a problem is it? There are a lot of flip phones in the market, so whatz the problem. The problem is I love Nokia mobiles and they didnt seem to be interested in bringing out one of the flip kind. But finally the big day did come in the form of 6260, wow was I thrilled.

I went through their web site every other day to check when the phone will finally come in market, and it finally is available. I quickly went out and bought the mobile. Now I open the package like a child getting to open his christmas gift, insert the SIM and behold my first nokia flip phone comes alive. The display is good and descent sized, I check the bluetooth, IR and loud speaker everything is great. They couldnt have had it better.

But so this is such a perfect phone right?, wrong, read on. It starts with my trying to send a message, boy was it difficult I needed to jump across top and bottom ends of the phone. Its very very difficult to message with one hand (If u r able to, u sure have very large hands pal). The phone is too big (defintely not a girls phone) and the whole texture has a very ''plasticky'' feel abt it, I removed the battery and memory card (it comes with a 32 MB card) out a couple of times and the battery cover started to come loose.

I kept playing with the camera( Just open the phone and twist it by 90 degrees that activates the camera), it has a camcoder like feel to it with the lens mounted to the side, but the good part ends there, the camera resolution is just ok (heard that its only 0.3 mega pixel, but cudnt confirm in any nokia site).

I am not sure whether its going to survive the every day hardships I am going to put it through, hope it does because I paid a good 660S$ for it. To sum up, I would say it has lot of features for a professional user like quick word, bluetooth, IR etc. But not exactly the kindof camera phone that u might expect at this price.

But yes, its nokia first outing with a flip phone, so wait for better versions that can be expected soon. But if you are sucker for a flip phone made my nokia, wait for the black color the looks way better than the silver one, if you are not, keep waiting a better one which definitely is around the corner.
