I bought this phone because it seemed like a good one for the price. It had all the features and the shopkeepers claimed it was not exceptional in any sphere but good at most things. So I bought this phone.
My first shock was that I was unable to load my entire phonebook, because the memory of this phone is only 500 contacts! That is something most of us don't check before buying, because even basic phones come with 1000 contacts memory these days. This is a MAJOR issue, as the basic purpose of the phone is storing numbers and calling.
Another failure I feel is the low sound and bad reception. I could here everything in Mumbai traffic with my old phones, but with this phone I cannot. Another problem I saw was bad reception. I have 2 phones(both Nokia) with Airtel numbers. However, when my other phone is receiving network, my 6233 does not. I found this strange, but on checking international user reviews I found this is a common problem on this phone.
The sound quality is excellent and the FM is quite good too. I face a strange problem though. Whenever I am listening to the FM, the Push to talk comes on automatically on the screen. This is not a major problem, but is annoying when I want to access other functions (I have to keep exiting the push to talk).
