I would like to share my views on my recently acquired Nokia 6230i.I realised the bugs prevalent in the phone within a few days of usage. My phone came bundled with firmware ver 3.30.

Bugs/problems

1.Ring tone automatically sets to ascending a default even if manually selected to ringing.Ringer is very feeble at start and rises after a few rings.I missed alot of calls due to this anomaly.

2.Battery life is pathetic, with my battery cahrge lasting max for a day after charging.

3.Keypad tones, message alert tones, reminder tones, and even the alarm clock is set at default to ascending and users are unable to change this setting. If it is a wake up alarm you set the phone has to sound the alarm for a while before it even becomes audible.

After several trips to the nokia sevice centre and after having the phone changed twice and a software downgrade to ver 3.25 the problems still loom large.Well Nokia havent a clue on fixing this problem. The Nokia service center is chaotic to say the least, with serpentine queues and eternal waits to get even a miniscule problem fixed. The Nokia call centre has its own set of rude to very rude so called customer service representatives who have no patience to listen to customer problems and understand the customers concern. With a very mechanical tone to all your queries '' Pease take your handset to the nokia authorised service centre''
