I have purchased Nokia 5800 just one month back and the phone has started giving lot of problems.

  1. Its touch screen color sometimes changes to purple or blue and the moment I press the screen shutdown key it displays normal color again when it is switch on. I think this is an inherent problem with the handset or with the touch screen and will last for long.

2.My phone has started hanging out and yesterday when I was playing songs alongwith ear phone attachment it got struck. I have to open the battery pack and remove it to restart the phone. It has been hanging since the day I purchased the handset but now the frequency has increased and it has become severe.

  1. Several times the incoming call number is not visible as the touch screen remains black .

Already I have faced problem with Nokia 6255 handset and this time because of the word of mouth I purchased this handset and yet the story remains the same.

Worst thing is that even after sending several mails to Nokia they give simple reply as to get the handset to the nearest Nokia repair shop for necessary repairs. And on reaching the Nokia Care they ask to keep the handset with them for two weeks for repairs without providing any backup handset to stay connected.

Really the Nokia care as well as the handset realiabilty is terrible.

It will be a wise step to purchase a cheap and reliable chinese handet instead of wasting money on this nokia handset.

Thanks.
