I bought this phone as soon as it was launched. The last phone I used was an ASUS PDA and I just couldn't wait to get rid of it.

This phone is feature rich. This has many features such as radio, flash for camera, GPS, light sensor etc.

The touch feature is far better than ASUS. You can type without the stylus in full qwetry mode. The handwriting recognition is pretty good as well. The OS is pretty stable. I had only 2 hangs so far. The phone is very very sturdy.

I had accidental thrown this phone to a wall(dont ask how). from the impact I felt that this phone is history. but viola, not a single device/function was damaged. That just multiplied my admiration for this piece of hardware!! The GPS is pretty fast to lock. The battery life is pretty good. It can last 3 days with normal call, gps and gprs usage.

There are a few cons. The 4:3 ratio of iphone feels better than the 16:9 ratio here. The camera is not that great. It gets worse in night mode. The clock slows down with time!! thats really bad when you set you meeting reminders on this. There are not many apps developed yet for this wrt iphone. As this the first touch phone from nokia it has a lot of tuning to be done. You cannot change the welcome screen to display your favorite actress (yeah, that sucks). The phone doesnt look stylish with its thick long structure. Afterall they call it "the tube".

If they call this an iphone killer, they are just kidding. This is a pretty good bang for buck phone for what they have in the market at present. I heard that they are coming out with a 3.6 inch version instead of the 3.1 inch in 5800. So I suggest prospective buyers wait.
