Just got a new nokia 5700 for my friend yesterday. After reading the only review on mouthshut I decided to recommend my friend to go for Nokia 5700. First to start with price it cost us 12350/- inclusive tax. Overall experience pretty good, looks stylish and smart. When we bought the phone it came with a hutch card in which we get 50 songs free. After all the songs were downloaded when we played the song we were shocked the volume was pretty low. Just like any other normal phone later we transferred songs from our laptop and then tried and now it sounded good. May be the free songs that hutch gave might be in some compressed format. But anyways then we checked the headset or handsfree, sound quality is good but not to the extent of Sony Ericsson Walkman phone series. Its pretty average sound quality. Resolution is fantastic pretty good large display. Good camera resolution with auto flash option. Well I more thing when you send a song or mp3 format file through bluetooth it comes in the form of a text message you need to open the file and the songs play and only then you get the option to save it. So you can imagine how hectic it would have being for me to open 50 messages play songs and then save those songs that came along with package deal.
Infact I have a SE W700i phone with HPM-75 handsfree. Hence it was easy for me to compare both the products. I can honestly say there is absolutely no match between Sony Ericcsson and Nokia 5700. SE walkman series is 10 times better than Nokia's Xpress Music Series. And before buying this phone we had checked SE W700i price too and it has dropped to 9500/-. So if you are looking forward to buy a Music phone I would NOT recommend Nokia 5700. Its obvious that you can get better quality music phone in the form of a SE700i with as much as 3000/- Rs difference.
