I bought this mobile and has been long member of mouthshut, but I didnot write a review just after getting the mobile as I wanted to check out all the features before doing so.
The first thing that attracts you is its appearance. I am talking about all the phones in this range i.e. around 5000/-
A metallic appearance with a red border(Mine is a red One; I refused the grey one because of its appearance to me).with a shiny appearance.OK ok it also can be said to be a fingerprint magnet as it catches each fine finger print but it is easily removable by rubbing it with a cloth.
talking about the sound reception I can tell that it is very good and according to me the sound quality, both in headset as well as in loud speaker is fine.and is well enough.till date( I have it for around 2 weeks) I didn't get any problem, neither me nor the listener over the phone of voice disturbance.
Another thing that one notices is the ease of use the phone.As I said it is a bit slippery.and at times if u have sweaty hand then u shud be careful while holding the phone.otherwise there is no problem.the receiving and end call buttons are just fine( though there is no demarcation for the silence and end call button, but it is well placed than Nokia 2626). An irritating thing about this phone is that when u are going to write a message the default mode while u are typing in the "TO" column is text rather than numbering mode.hence u may have to change to number mode each time before typing any number.that is quite an irritating feature as there is no way u can change that.
The key pad is much better and even a person with fat fingers can easily type in it.i myself have fat fingers and I found it quite easy in using the keypad.
Now moving on to the sound quality.after all it is a music phone.yes my friends the music quality is really good at this price range.though it has only one speaker.
Second irritating feature is the music keys which are placed just opposite to the volume keys so u need to be careful as to when to use which feature and do it accordingly. it has dancing lights, the new features of a Nokia music phones.and the loudspeaker has quite different holes at the back suggesting that the holes are created without any regular pattern.but it looks nice and goes with the phone.
the earphone provided is normal ones and fits quite well in the ear.The sound thru the speaker is much better than thru the earphone.( U can enjoy with ur friends) but u can always buy in ear earphones separately if u like after all u have 3.5mm jack so that u can connect with ur normal speaker or computer headphone.
It comes with a 2MP camera and I am quite satisfied with it. Though it has some lag in clicking the photo and saving it, but in this way it has reduced shakes in the images if any.and the image quality is quite good when taken in a bus or train( I personally have taken them in a moving bus and trains).If my friends u turn away hearing of the 2MP camera, then I have to say that the phones in this range dont have more than 2MP.So it depends on u if u wanna buy or not.
Battery Life:-I know many of u have jumped to this portion to learn about the battery life.My friend when I first bought the phone I had made good enquiry about it in Nokia's site, about the talktime and music listening time.Though I personally feel that music listening time is more or less the same what nokia says, the talktime and standby shud have been better.
U may tell then why have I kept it in the pro section then I want to say that it is ok if ur battery lasts for 1.5 to 2 days when u are over the phone for 2 hrs per day.and plz dont expect the battery to last 3-4 days as was the case in 2626 or 6030 or other mobiles of nokia using BL-5C.after all resolution and display quality as well as your mobile signal strength also matters in this respect.
Signal catching capability of this mobile is quite good.and is better than my last phone samsung E-250. I am able to talk over the moble in those parts of the room where I used to have frequent call drops with my last mobile.
This mobile also has USB connectivity and bluetooth connectivity as well as inbuilt opera browser. Though it does not have 3G, but it has EDGE.hence u can expect to have good browsing satisfaction. Also the strength of bluetooth is much better than the Samsung E-250,
in this time of recession the USB provided by nokia has an effective length of 25cms.that's quite short man.(Isn't that crap) and also the speed of the USB is not that fast.
with every thing there are pros and cons and u live with it.all in all I am quite happy with the phone and with its features.all for a cheap price of 5300/-
