Well Well Well, Lemme start of with a breif history ! Gone are those days when cell phones used to look like todays present cordless land line telephones. Those previous motorola and nokia handsets for example. Well I even used to call a 5110 a cordless cause it was too bully but It was one of a gr8 handsets too (please read my writeup on Nokia 5110 for more info)
Coming back to our dear 3310. What made it up huh ?
A nokia 5110 make slim + buttons reduced + size reduced + cool games (snake 2 is damm addictive )+ suberb features + cooly avaaiable body + USER FRIENDLY + CUSTOMISABLE + inbuilt antenna + and on and on and on give us The Gr8 NOKIA 3310.
Well Im not going bla bla bla on the features and specs of the phone and all which u can always read on the websites and many ppl even do COPY-PASTE to put them on.....im here to talk about my issuses and experiences with it like I do in each of my write up.
Lemme Start...
The backlit is kindda very cool and in the dark its damm easy to read messages ..read telphone nos. and even typing messages is easy due to the exclusive keypad that allows each letter to be seen on the keys even in pitch dark areas.
Typing messages is made so easy using the T9 funtion they started. Typing messages is as easy as 1-2-3. Also they had inculcated the multiple message deliver system in which one message can be send to lot of people using the send to many funtion and also loong sms can be typed at a single time itself so no need to type different individual sms for long smses.
The profile section is fantastic as we can customise the phone as we want and the phone does what we want and not that we have to do what the phone says .
The other main feature is the cool downloadable ringtones and the composer so that we can put our own tunes...
Also the picture messages section is gr8 for excellent time pass.
The Calender and the Reminder thing is also cool and helpfull mainly to business people ....youngsters like me have never tried using it.
Lets talk about the games (as im a gaming freak) well let me tell u all that even if a nokia 3310 had only SNAKE 2 as the given game it would still run as it runs today cause 90% of the ppl only play that game and belive me its too addictive to play on the 3310 as its fast and also that the phone responds spontenously to the key presses (ive used a 5210 and the responses are quite slow in the games !)
Well overall speaking its a complete package there is nothing BAD or wrong in the telephone I can write about. Its just too perfect .
This Nokia 3310 is the main resposible to bring about a mobile revolution !and im sure its responsible to bring about a rise in the nokia sales and the companies performance.
Cost:
New are rare to find but when found would cost anything about Rs.4250
Second hand -good conditioned pieces are easy to find at about Rs.3500 (WITH A LITHIUM BATTERY !)
Now lemme come to the main part of my writeup !
As I said above there is not much bad things of the 3310.
So lets talk about enhancements. The market is madly flooded with Nokia 3310 Skins / Bodies ranging from Rs.75 to Rs.250. Those really look damm cool.
The best thing is changing the display light.

And now the main thing.....3310 can be converted to a full flegged Nokia 3315. The only thing is to be done is the mobile is needed to be flashed and new software is to be installed and that it ! u have a complete new 3315 in your hands !
I would definately rate the phone 10/10.
The phone is here to STAY no matter what and how many latest phones come out !!
