I am a happy user of Nokia 3230

I am a happy user of Nokia 3230 since 2 months. When I got my handset I was unsure of whether I have got the true value of the thing or not. While using the phone I realized it as a superb handset capable of what it says it will.

Everybody around me seem to use Nokia 3230

When you are having the thing you suddenly start noticing what others are using. It so happened that at-least 5 of my colleagues was having the same handset and they were proud of the handset. I was warmly welcomed in the club.

Playing Bluetooth is fun

This handset has provided us Bluetooth. It is so highly used in friends that we always find us sharing content on Bluetooth when we have leisure time.

My data on my Outlook PIM

As a computer geek I am always interested in getting everything connected to my desktop and my laptop. So even before calling people or exploring other features of the handset I was up to connecting it with my PC and do some content exchange things. I found that they have provided Nokia PC Suite in a CDROM with the handset but it was outdated. I had to download the software from Internet and then it worked fine. I have a DKU2 USB Connector for my PC handset connection and a Bluetooth USB Dongle for Bluetooth connection.

They have provided drivers up to Windows XP Systems. I couldn’t find a driver for Windows 2003 Server machine and was disappointed a bit but giving overall weightage for pros and cons I will recommend this handset to all my friends.

The picture quality of captured photos is great and it has become fun now to take snapshots and download them on PC or send them to friends through Bluetooth.

Entertainment anywhere

I must mention the Radio FM facility available with the handset. It is cool and now I can get entertained on remote places as well when I am working. The real player is also good but my friends have recommended third party MP3players to play MP3 files.

Useful Software available on Internet

After seeing software installed on one of my friend’s handset I also downloaded the FExplorer software from Internet. It is available at https://gosymbian.com/fexplorer_new.php and is a cool My Computer like file explorer for Series 60 Symbian phones. I recommend this software for the handset and I am satisfied with its performance and the ease it provides to browse the phone content.

UPDATE 01 Oct 2005

I found the plastic cover for this handset in Big Bazar. Now the hanset looks secure and I am relieved.
