Hullo! This is my first review. I shall try to be as informative as possible. T

he Nokia 3230 is perhaps the first Smart Phone that any average cell phone user would be able to afford. The Nokia 3230 and the Panasonic x800 would be some of the phones in this category. Lets find out more:

THE LOOKS: The first impression that I had got when I saw the phone was a distinct surprise. A feeling of dejavu. Ahh... the Sony Ericsson T610. The huge display screen - very sharp too, the solid finish of the phone , and the silver keypad took my mind of the T610 immediately. The keypad feels a bit itchy though. It does take some time for the hand to adjust.

My Verdict here: Looks stylish - 8/10

FUNCTIONALITY: This is perhaps where we should take a much closer look at the phone. This is where it matters ultimately. Messaging is quick and typically intuitive, and you can configure for mobile email access and T9 works pretty well. Besides your usual helpful features like calendar, notes, currency converter and wallet, the phone allows for voice recording, albeit with a 1-minute duration cap. The one minute max duration cap is quite a limiting factor considering the memory in hand.

The 1.23 MP camera is good in daylight situations and does not respond very well in low light situations though. The FM receiver works very well. There seems to be problem with the MP3 player, it plays only in monophonic sound... it works perfectly with Ultra MP3... try it out.

A 32MB RS-MMC comes standard. It can be replaced without having to switch off the phone. Infrared and Bluetooth are the connectivity options. The Nokia PC Suite CD has not been shipped. The suite is available on the nokia website.Applications load fairly briskly. The internal memory RAM is about 9MB. The Video Recorder has no caps, one can record as long as there is space available. The Video Recorder from is N6600 is noticable. Agent V, Rally Pro, Warrior are the standard games included, and they run really smoothly.

My Verdict here: Total Value for money - 7/10

COLOURS: The phone is available in 2 colours: Black and Wine Red. Both of them look awesome. It weighs 110 g and does look a bit heavy sometimes, but most of that weight is due to the good and solid build quality of the phone.

My Final Verdict: Go For It - 7.5/10 - Total Value for Money.
