This is one phone which packs all the features you really ever need, is nice and compact with awesome looks to boot. The best part is, you don't need a degree in rocket science to operate the phone.

The most outstanding feature of the phone is its combo of a good camera and a fantastic 65k colour screen(128x128 pixels), so that the photos you take actually look like photos and not washed out newspaper ads. The coloured body lights are another treat to watch, and yes, it is also good for making calls. It has good voice quality and has fantastic reception. It also has voice dialing. The phone has about 6MB of memory but that is shared so much that you end up only with 1.5MB. It also has good voice and video recording.

A very good aspect of this phone is its network connectivity. It has EGPRS (EDGE) & HSCSD which provide high speed data connectivity. It also has GPRS and an 'always on' browsing feature. Depending on your operator, you should be able to get a decent browsing experience (i do!!!). It does not have bluetooth or infrared connectivity (who needs IR anyway???). However you can connect your Nokia 3220 to your computer's USB port with a DKU-5 cable. It's available from Nokia for Rs. 3000 but you'll get cheaper versions for Rs. 800.

A major stumbling block is the 5-button navigator keypad. This might take some time to get used to, but once you get comfortable with it, you can't live without it. The only major drawback in the phone is the vibrator. It's not very strong compared to other phones. You could easily miss a call in vibrator mode, especially if you're running low on battery. Another minor irritation is that you can record only 50secs of video (in one file). That's not too bad unless you plan to make a movie with your cell phone.

All-in-all, a great phone that comes for a great price (less than 9K last I checked). It has all features that you really need and a some high-end features. Add to that Nokia's quality, reliability and service, and you have a great buy.
