Camera phone. Review on Nokia 3200

Mera phone mein kya nahin thaa jo is naye phone mein hai? Well the simple answer – camera. And that is the sole reason why I changed from my previous Nokia 6510 to this one. After all a cell phone is not just for making and receiving calls. Just kidding. But with the advent of technology, simple things too are preferred when they are jazzier, if you know what I mean. The best thing about 3200 is the fact that it has no cover. Under a plastic cap one can put in any kind of paper to give the colour a phone. The set provides with five different designs of covers with matching wallpaper on the phone apart from white. And to make it more personal one can always design a cover, print it and cut it to suit your fancy. The basic functions are however the same. Making calls, receiving calls, managing names, sending messages. Since this is a phone with a camera you can send a mms

as well. Or if you have the wap connection the pictures can be sent via mail as well.

All of these features are quite self-explanatory in the handset as well as in the handbook as well. You can also save an image of a friend to his / her contact number and the picture is displayed when a call is received from the number. The phone can save upto 200 entries. The numbers 2 to 9 can be used as speed dials with preassigned numbers attached to them. The phone has 1MB of memory which is divided among the storage of numbers and pictures. 3200 provides profile options as well including general, pager, silent, meeting and outdoor. These give an option to change standard ringing settings and can be personalized for convenience. They can also be programmed to be changed at regular intervals. The settings included in the profiles are: incoming call alert, ringing tone, ringing volume, vibrating alert, message alert tone, keypad tones, warning tones, alert for all calls and profile name. The phone offers a default 15 ringing tones and more can be downloaded. The phone has three games – nature park, virtual memory and bounce – more on these later. 3200 has the option of radio and recording. The recordings saved can also be sent via mms to a phone that supports the similar option. Finally the camera also has several options namely – Standard photo, portrait photo, night mode, self-timer, quality of images and the camera sound. So the 3200 is a little hep, a little cooler and not very expensive at that.
