Since all are aware of the good qualities of a Nokia 2100 phone, I will be mentioning only the draw backs. This is based on my past eight months experience.
Cons:
New sms is inserted in between, so if you want to retrieve it you will end up in going thru almost all of them in inbox.
Pretty slow response time while retrieving sms from a 32 kb sim card (around 2 sec). but better than a 3100 where you have to wait around 4 secs to see the list of messages in inbox. I would say for entry level phones Samsung R220 gives the fastest response.
Switches off suddenly during a call or while dialing.I have been experiencing this for the last one month. But works fine during standby or while sending sms. since I have bought it without bill, I am slighly reluctant to take it for repair :)
4. Very low reception (or gain). My folks complain I am out of range :(
Taking off the back cover for replacing the sim is a pain.
It gives a buzzing sound in the earpiece while talking.
So better to avoid this model.
